• Can your PLN be used to help professional development post-course? 

Yes, I believe my PLN will still be beneficial to my professional learning and growth post-course. The PLN I have grown not only in this course but through different forms of social media will be able to help me develop new ideas and grow in my profession. As a teacher, collaboration is key to expanding our knowledge of educational techniques and strategies. My PLN in this course was fantastic at sharing their ideas on different theories and adding new and interesting thoughts to the conversation. The PLN I have developed through my social media allows me to learn more about educational theories and develop new and unique ways to teach the curriculum.  

  • Can your PLN be relied on to open professional opportunities? 

Yes, I would like to believe that I could use my PLN to open professional opportunities. Many different professional developments and other professional opportunities are posted and shared on social media around different networks. Having a PLN allows me to view and be connected to these types of opportunities that may help me professionally. I don’t post or share much information on social media PLNs, and I am more of a visitor to gain information about my profession. So, I believe I couldn’t rely on my social media presence alone to open professional opportunities, but there is so much information in my PLN with other teachers I still believe I would be able to have opportunities open for me professionally.
