This first music blog marks the beginning of my journey towards learning to play the ukulele. I decided that the first song that I wanted to learn to play was Riptide by Vance Joy. I began by learning the 4 chords and the strumming pattern needed to play the song. The website: https://ukulelego.com/ helped me to learn these chords and the strumming pattern.

 

The chords that I needed to learn were: Am, G, C, and F. The strumming pattern was: down, down, up, down, up. The majority of the song repeats: Am, G, Cx2, with the exception of one pre-chorus that goes: Am, G, C, F.
